In an effort to engage and distract kids from the anxiety of this challenging time, communities across the country are participating in a "Bear Hunt." Neighbors are putting teddy bears in their windows for kids to "hunt" when they walk around their neighborhoods.. Please follow the link below for more about another Maine community's participation.

If you don't have bear or another stuffed animal to display, but would like to participate, please see below your neighbor, Terry Danowski's, offer to lend bears and more.
The Cumberland library (or is it just some creative parents?) is suggesting that residents put teddy bears in their windows so kids can go on a bear hunt. Already have a few around the neighborhood! If anyone would like to borrow a bear to help with this fun diversion on family walks, please let me know at tdanowski@me.com and my donating teens will leave it on your front porch so you can place it in your window. If there is a run on bears you might get a stuffed giraffe, penguin, or Ugly Doll instead!
Thank you!
